Leaving La Paz, you will head east on a unique journey into the heart of indigenous Bolivia. ITINERARY

FLIGHT TO LA PAZ.

On the first morning, take some time to acclimate to the altitude and “embrace the rhythm of Bolivia”.

In the afternoon, a guide will meet you at your hotel to introduce you to this charming city, including its main square and the Nuestra Señora de La Paz Cathedral.

You’ll also visit the city’s iconic landmarks, such as the government palace and the National Congress.

On the second day, we recommend visiting the Archaeological Site of Tiwanaku, the most significant in Bolivia. The city of Tiwanaku is nestled in a windswept desert plain. The following day, you’ll fly to Sucre to explore this beautiful city.

In the morning you will leave for the Tarabuco market, 62 km from the city of Sucre.

You will discover an Andean market which takes place only on Sundays.

This market, along with that of Chichicastenango in Guatemala and that of Otavalo in Ecuador, is considered the top 3 best indigenous markets in South America.

In the morning, you’ll depart for Potosi, one of the highest cities above sea level.

You’ll travel 150 km on a paved road to reach this charming destination.

During your visit, you can explore the delightful city center, tour the historic Cerro Rico mines, and browse the vibrant mining market. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to climb to the Cerro viewpoint for a stunning panoramic view.

In the afternoon departure to the Colchani Salt Hotel at the gates of the unique Salar de Uyuni.

With a 4×4 vehicle, a driver, a guide, and your hostess cook, you’ll embark on a unique adventure across the world’s largest salt desert, the Salar de Uyuni.

If you love vast open spaces and vibrant colors, the next few days could be one of the greatest experiences of your life.

The colors, scents, and light will remain etched in your memory forever. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in a tranquil village, where a change of scenery and authenticity are guaranteed.

On this day, you’ll ascend from 3,700 meters to 4,700 meters above sea level. You will explore the desert, cross the Salar de Chiguana, and visit the Charkota, Hedionda, and Cañapa lagoons, along with the unique rock formation known as the “Stone Tree.”

Lunch will be prepared in the open air, amidst the untouched wilderness.

You’ll spend the night at an altitude of 4,000 meters.

You’ll depart early towards Chile, embarking on a journey to discover a series of small lagoons with unique colors that change with the sun’s intensity.

You’ll visit Laguna Colorada, famous for hosting the largest colony of Andean flamingos.

Next, you’ll witness the geysers of Sol de Mañana, an unforgettable spectacle at 4,900 meters altitude! You’ll then pass Laguna Polkes and cross the Los Lipez desert. One of the highlights will be La Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano at 4,300 meters.

This volcano is part of the volcanic chain that forms the border between Chile and Bolivia. Finally, you’ll arrive at the border post and continue to Atacama.

Departure from San Pedro to Calama to catch your flight to Santiago.

Upon arrival in Santiago, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel, situated in the historic center of the city. Embark on a guided tour to discover the lively and historic parts of Santiago. In the evening, if you wish, enjoy a friendly dinner in a charming old bourgeois house, where you’ll have the chance to experience the poetry and music of Chile.

Dominated by the Cordillera and adorned with green spaces, the city prides itself on its vibrant cultural life. Begin your journey in the modern city of Santiago, exploring its historic center, the iconic Plaza de Armas, and the bustling market.

Next, head towards the enchanting city of Valparaíso. Start with a visit to a local wine estate, followed by a delightful lunch. Known as a stopover for Cape Horn navigators, Valparaíso’s ancient funiculars still climb the 45 hills that surround the city.
